I haven't been blogging much lately for several reasons:
1. I've actually been working at work (mind blowing, no?)
2. I've been procrastinating doing my blog projects, such as a piece on the conceptual metaphors of Fiona Apple's song lyrics and a piece on the FCC's intentions to relax media ownership "restrictions" . Since I don't have any actual homework to do, my "leisure" projects are the only thing I can put off.
3. I've been playing waaay too much Dark Cloud 2 at home every night and all weekend
4. I'm tired of bitching about the same stuff all the time, i.e. the war, Bush, the government, evil corporations, etc.
5. I'm plain lazy.
Anyhow, I thought I would take advantage of this fairly easy day at work to write about some very important issues.
1. My great friend, Cody "Brain" Sisco is graduating from San Francisco State Saturday, May 24, 2003
2. The same great dude is turning 23 on the same day!
Wow! What an awesome weekend for you Cody and you soooo deserve all of the mad partying you will no doubt engage in and all of the gifts, congrats and hugs that will be showered on you. I am very proud of you and oh-so-happy that you've been my friend for... hella years now. You taught me how to inhale smoke properly, were my party buddy and care-giver during the best parties and the worst, helped me through some difficult times, got me a job at Caffino, listened to me, shared your problems with me and you've always been there for me when I needed you, or just when I've been bored and wanted to kick it. You're a great friend and I hope that we'll remain friendz-4-eva. Whew, I'm getting all teary-eyed, so I should get my ass back to work. Congratulations and Happy Birthday, 00-420!
