Lazy Dayz

I had my last final on May 18th and Erica, Susan and I threw out little party. It was really small in that the room holds 80, and over 50 people RSVP'd but I doubt we got over 25 at any one time. That also means we didn't meet our minimum bar tab so Susan, Erica and I had to pay the remainder out of pocket. Good thing I was shit-faced when I signed the massive credit card bill. Anyhow, I'm glad that school is over for now and I think my summer jobs will be alright. Right now I'm working in the Hastings Computer Lab 3 mornings a week; hopefully I'll be able to get more hours so I will be able to at least pay most of my rent because I'll only get half of it at this rate. As for my internship, I guess it's OK in that we're hardly supervised, but it's not OK in that people hardly talk to each other and they expect us to turn out one topic/page per hour - from starting research to uploading. This I have big problems with, since they only seem to be interested in the amount of content they have (so they can get more hits from search engines and thus more customers) rather than the accuracy or comprehensiveness of the legal information they're providing potential customers. I guess some is better than none and it's just a good place to start so they know if they have a case or not, but I feel this immense pressure to churn out a product very quickly, which makes me not want to work at all. So, here I go into summer; it's dreary and misty outside, it's cold here in the computer lab, I haven't actually seen or spoken to Aaron in over 24 hours, I have no new Bollywood to watch, I have a month's worth of laundry piled up, there's no (good) food in my fridge, all my friends seem to be busy and I have to take my grandma to San Jose for a christening tomorrow so I still have to get up early. I think I'm a happier person when I'm overworked because then I don't have as much time to sit around and think of all the ways that my life really, really sucks. Anyway, enough of my bitching - seems that's all I do these days, now that I have nothing to do - here are some pictures from the end-of-first-year party at the Crimson Lounge.

I love you, sweetcheeks.
I could attempt to reenact a large-scale Bollywood musical number if it would make you feel better.
However, it would not be good.

I was so disturbed by this when I thought it was Dr V calling you 'sweetcheeks.' Whereas if it's Kati I don't seem to be bothered at all. Why is that?

dr v and endearments don't compute. whereas kati vol is an endearment.

i totally just wanted to call kati an endearment here. honestly i have no problems with dr v calling you sweetcheeks or anything else sweet nothings-like. kristen, you're weird.

I think I'm just jealous. About the theoretical endearments from Dr V. Because, as Sean has previously remarked, the most I will get from Gene is a "kid" or a "hon."

ah, princess, you'll always have me.

(though i refuse to ever call you 'babe'. i hate that word as an endearment. i know you like it. but too bad. though i guess the whole, 'that'll do pig', really does make it convenient.)

I'm afraid that Ash and I have over-endeared.
Schloopy, Puka-shell, Monkey, Peapod - these and more have all come out my mouth, and been reciprocated.

Pictures! Does this mean I didn't break Aaron's camera after all(and I don't mean with my face)?

Robyn, I love the cute yet unconventional endearments. However, there's only so much warm cuddly feeling a person can be around before it affects the stomach. If I hear you or Ash say those in person, make sure you are out of puke-range.

I was able to off-load these pictures, but it doesn't work. I need to take it to a camera shop. Any suggestions for good places that fix cameras?

I also meant to mention there that I suspect that a major part of the problem is jsut that the casing is ajar so the shutter button isn't making contact w/ whatever it needs to. The fact that the offloading works *is* a good sign. No worries, homie.
