Kati and Kris Play Dress-Up

My sister gave me a very pretty sari for my birthday and taught me how to put it on properly. Last night, Kati came to crash at my house and we thought it would be fun to try it on. It was fun. Very fun.

What's with those nasty image compression artifacts?! This must not have come straight out of your camera. Did you resize these or something before uploading them?

I told her to resize before uploading since the raw images are ~3MB. Isn't space going to be an issue on the server if everyone is uploading images that large?

well ya. I mean 3mb is extreme but isn't there a happy medium like 1-2 meg.

omg, that's so cool!! Now you have something to wear at the fabulous Bollywood wedding in Minnesota!!

I guess 1-2mb would be possible... if I knew how to reduce my pictures based on file size rather than the size of the picture. Once again, my total ignorance of technical stuff displeases Gene...

I do have something fabulous to wear to Indian events now - not that I ever will, unless Khurram gets married someday. The only drawback is that the matching top, which Kati is wearing and I'm not, fits Kati but not me. Joy also gave me a fabulous pink Indian skirt w/ the most gorgeous gold threading and sequin patterns you've ever seen. Of couse, it's too big for me so I'd have to get it altered and I don't have a matching top...

First of all, discussion of the photo file sizes = HUGELY NERDY!!!

Next, I should endeavor to get you a sari. But I think the kurta/shalwar is much more fashionable for the below 40 crowd (whether Indian or not). That should be pretty manageable.

That being said, the sari looks pretty sexy.
