In honor of Cody and Jay's recent first-hand experience at an Indian wedding and my personal obsession with Bollywood, I'm posting some pics of fabulous Indian wedding (shaadi) saris (or sarees) and jewelry. All of these pictures are from DMI India where you can actually buy the outfits seen in popular Bollywood films; the saris cost anywhere from $200 to $800 and the jewelry sets cost from about $100 to over $500. Click on the pics to see the full-size image and movie titles for info about the films. Enjoy!
do the sari's on the dmi site compare in quality to what you see in the movies? just curious because the people that design for the dmi site aren't the real designers. let me know if you've actually purchased from them. thx.
Posted by: priyankas_home@yahoo.com at July 13, 2004 07:04 AMNo, I haven't purchased anything from them. I just can't afford to buy such an expensive item on a whim. For these prices, I'd hope that they're good quality! DMI does say they'll make you a replica of any Bollywood outfit, which is pretty cool, if you ask me.
